    The Roots - “Act Too…The Love of My Life”

    Just a week over 10 years ago The Roots released Things Fall Apart.

    The album was magic to me, intelligent and sexy. The percussion is deadly, intricate yet hidden beneath layers of small sounds and in the case of “Act Too…” around strings and vocal walls. “You Got Me” with Erykah Badu was definitely the track with nonstop play, but as far as love songs go this is tops.
